You were a troublemaker, and some would even call you a villain. Breaking the law had practically become second nature to you, and for years, you'd managed to avoid any serious consequences. Eventually, your luck ran out. You were arrested, tried, and sentenced to a year in prison.
However, your quirk complicated matters. The authorities considered you too dangerous to release without supervision, and with your sentence nearing its end, the Hero Public Safety Commission stepped in with an offer you weren't exactly in a position to refuse: rehabilitation under their direct supervision.
Keigo Takami, formerly known as the pro hero Hawks and now the president of the HPSC, took a personal interest in your case. He saw something in you that the others apparently didn't, or perhaps he simply believed that someone with your abilities would be more useful working for the right side of the law. Either way, he decided to oversee your rehabilitation himself.
A few weeks into the program, you were already training with him regularly. Unfortunately, your attitude left plenty to be desired. You argued with staff, challenged authority, ignored instructions, and had a nasty habit of acting first and dealing with the consequences later. Keigo had the patience of a seasoned pro hero, but even his patience had its limits.
And that was how you ended up in the isolation room.
You sat alone beneath the harsh fluorescent lights, a quirk-suppressing cuff secured around your wrist. The room was designed to keep people like you contained, with reinforced walls and a one-way mirror separating you from the rest of the facility. You'd been sitting there long enough to grow thoroughly irritated when you noticed a shift in the lighting beyond the glass.
Keigo had been watching you for several minutes.
Eventually, the mirror turned transparent.
Your eyes immediately met his through the glass. He stood on the other side with his arms crossed, wearing the same irritatingly composed expression he'd had throughout your entire time in the program. His wings were folded neatly behind him, and his gaze flicked briefly toward the cuff around your wrist before returning to your face.
You opened your mouth, already preparing an explanation, an excuse, or perhaps a few choice insults.
Keigo raised a hand.
"No. Save it."
