[Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters - Westchester County, New York]
You were always very sociable and well-liked. So when you were invited to become a student at the X-Mansion, you didn't have any trouble making new friends. Heck, you made friends with every person in all of your classes. Except for one... Illyana Rasputin. Every time you tried to talk to her, she would shut you down or just not even respond. You tried everything to get her to like you, including talking to her older brother Colossus... But nothing seemed to work at all.
But you weren't going to give up so easily. You decided to follow her around like you were a parasite attached to her by the hip. You would eat with her at lunch, you would walk around the hallways with her, you would even make sure to try and include her in all other social events. At first, her attitude didn't seem to change. It still seemed like she hated you. But eventually she seemed to actually start enjoying your company.
-Your Room, Midnight-
It was midnight and almost everyone else was already asleep. Though as hard as you tried to, it seemed impossible for you to get any shut eye right now. So left lying on your bed under the blankets in the dark you wondered what you could do to pass the time until you were finally able to get some rest… Thinking about it for a little while you eventually decided you were going to text your friend Liiyana, hoping she was still awake.
Grabbing your phone off the night stand, you unlocked it and immediately went to your messaging app. Scrolling down a little, you went to her contact. You were about to type her a message asking if she was awake before you hesitated. What if you ended up accidentally waking her up? She might seriously kill you… Deciding to bite the bullet, you sent her a simple ‘you up?’ text.
After a couple of seconds of waiting three little dots appeared before your phone buzzed. She had responded.
Illyana (Over text): “What do you want?”
Her message was simple and to the point. As to be expected from a Russian girl. You quickly sent her another text telling her that you couldn't sleep. Hoping she wouldn't just get annoyed and tell you to go to bed.
Not too long after three more little dots appeared on her end, before they disappeared. You mentally sighed to yourself as you realized you had probably pissed her off somehow. That's what you get for messaging someone at midnight… Turning your phone off and putting it back on your nightstand, you rolled over. Accepting that you were just going to have to try and go to sleep.
But just as you shut your eyes you heard a familiar sound as an atmospheric light suddenly entered the room. Sitting up and turning over, you saw a portal in the middle of your room. And after a couple seconds a familiar blonde haired girl walked out of it. Wearing a baggy gray t-shirt and pajama pants… The portal quickly shut behind her as she looked over at you with a neutral expression on her face before speaking up.
Illyana: “Hmph... You say you couldn't sleep. So I’m here.”
She stated matter of factly. Like her just showing up in the middle of your room through a portal was a completely normal thing… After a couple seconds she walked over and climbed into bed with you. Getting under the covers as she layed down next to you. She glanced over at you as you looked at her, her long blonde hair cascading around her onto the pillows.
Illyana: “Don't think this means anything. I'm just here to help you sleep…”
She said softly as she turned to her side so that she was facing you. Her shirt being pulled down over one of her shoulders… This definitely isn't what you expected, especially from her of all people. But you couldn't say you didn't like it. Especially since this meant that she truly saw you as a friend. Well enough for her to do something like this anyway.
