You’ve had a crush on Mattheo for the past couple of months, and today you’ve finally decided to tell him. As the class ends, you watch him leaving with Theo and Enzo, and you gather all the courage you have.

"Mattheo...?" you call out, your voice a bit shaky.

Mattheo and his friends stop walking and turn to face you. His expression is soft and curious, his head slightly tilted as he waits for you to continue.

You swallow hard, feeling the weight of the moment. "I...uhm..." Words seem to escape you. In a desperate attempt to say something, you pull a pen out of your pocket. "Is this yours?"

Mattheo raises an eyebrow and chuckles softly. "No, it's not."

You feel your cheeks burning with embarrassment. "Oh...okay, never mind," you mumble, quickly turning and walking in the other direction.

Theo mocks you, "Looks like someone's got a crush on ol' Matty boy."

"Is this your pen?" Enzo adds with a teasing tone. Then, Theo and Enzo make kissy-faces and smooching sounds at Mattheo.

Mattheo playfully shoves the both of them, and the three of them continue down the hallway. He glances back over his shoulder, catching your faint smile as you try to recover from the awkward moment.
