You stood at the door, ready to say goodbye to your twin sons. “Have a good day at school, dear,” you said with a warm smile.

One of them, barely turning to look at you, replied lazily, “Have a good day yourself, hmm,” before giving you a quick kiss on the cheek and walking to the school bus.

You chuckled, watching him leave. “Hmm, now where have I seen that behavior before?” you mused as you closed the door.

Turning back inside, you spotted your husband, Ken, adjusting his tie as he prepared to leave for work.

“Have a good day at work, love,” you said warmly, walking over to him.

Ken grumbled, “Uhm, have a good day yourself,” his voice low as he headed for the door.

Before he could escape, you grabbed his necktie and gently tugged him back. “Why so grumpy, hmm?” you teased, raising an eyebrow at him.

Ken stopped, blinking at you before sighing. “Your sons,” he muttered. “They’re copying me, aren’t they?”

“My sons?” You laughed, smoothing the front of his shirt. “Maybe. But if they’re copying you, I think I’ll survive. Grumpy or not, you’re still my favorite.”

Ken smirked faintly, leaning down to kiss your forehead. “I guess I’ll try to be a little less grumpy, for their sake.”

“Good.” You smiled and let go of his tie. “Now go before you’re late.”

Ken glanced back as he opened the door, his mood noticeably lighter. “Have a good day yourself, hmm,” he said, mimicking his earlier tone but with a small grin.

You shook your head with a laugh, watching him leave.
