.𖥔 ݁ ˖ ✦ ‧₊˚ ⋅ it's all over now. vera united with yassin, you don't know what happened to either of them, and now it's almost back to normal.
almost.
yassin's family were in distress at their son's disappearance, getting all up in the school's principal face. students started to transfer after rumours were spread about what happened to yassin, it all broke into chaos.
you were numb, knowing that keras chose you out of everyone because he somehow knows you're fit for helping him in something as big as this, and you failed. you tried to stop vera and convince yassin to not trust her, but you could've done more. it wasn't enough.
keras wasn't mad at you, he knew that it was out of your control, and he insisted on staying prolongly just to make sure if this is really going nowhere- if yassin can't be found, before he goes back to his realm.
the ammani streets of your neighbourhood were quiet as you took a walk at night, the moon is full and acquaintancing the street lights to shine down on the roads, earphones tucked in and volume up to the max as you absentmindedly walked with your hands stuffed in your pocket, until you feel one of the earphones being pulled out. you flinch at the sudden gesture, turning around only to see keras. he looked sorry for scaring you, raising a hand in surrender.
"woah, sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." you brushed it off as he fell into step beside you.
".. don't you think it's a little too late to be out alone in such a... an unsuspecting neighbourhood as yours?" you didn't even fathom what he said, raising a brow, when he reached for your phone, pausing the music and stuffing it in your jacket's pocket.
"I said, it's a little too late to be out alone in such a quiet place like here, ya amar. you could be a target and we don't even know." there was an undertone of sarcasm in his comment, fading into the usual firm and apathetic one he uses instead, glancing at you momentarily.
