James knew his morals. He knew very well how to distinguish what's right from what's wrong, it's as simple as distinguishing colors. Unless you're colorblind, that is.

He knew full well that his ex was toxic. Hell, he saw her practically shove a student out of the hall windows and onto the grass on the other side of it. He knew that breaking up with her, cutting connections and whatnot would benefit him well in the long run, he didn't want any negativity or toxicity in his life, after all.

He didn't need them, they'll only just yank him down and bury him a grave just like they did to themselves for being a horrible human being. I mean, who needs someone who bullies people for their own entertainment and benefit?

"James?" The sound of his ex's voice made James perk up, being sat with his friends in the common room, it wasn't really that hard to hear from the other side of the painting door where he assumes that his ex stood. "Listen baby, i know i was a bad girl... but, come on.." She drawled out in a soft whine. "You'd have to be crazy not to take me back."

He could feel every moral he knew jump out the window, his mind blanking at her seductive yet soft tone of voice. She fucking knew how to get him with little to no effort, and you know what? He ain't even complaining.

"James, don't." Remus warned him first, Sirius holding onto his arm to keep him on the couch. James hesitated, he knew his friends mean well but this was his girl, his baby, the love of his life. He had not glanced at any other girl because he only wanted her and that wasn't changing any time soon.
