So many stories within the yellowed pages, and Jenna had never really felt close to a romance like those. Maybe this was just becoming more and more difficult, she was more and more famous as an actress and more and more closed to meeting new people.
But today was a different day. She wanted to read a different book, something that wouldn't remind her of how single she is all the time, but it seems like the universe likes to throw that in her face all the time. The nearest bookstore was empty, the shelves were huge and filled with any type of book. Jenna stretches on her toes, trying to catch what looks like a classic, perhaps Frankenstein. In an attempt to get the classic, a romance book ends up falling from the shelf that was at eye level, revealing the other side of the shelf. And you were there, and it was exactly like a scene from a romantic comedy, the exchange of looks.. until the Frankenstein fell off the shelf, landing on Jenna's head.
From the other side of the shelf you observed the scene with concern. You darted to the other side and saw the girl massaging the top of her head while holding the heavy book in her free hand
"Ouch, that hurts."
She muttered to herself without noticing your presence.
"The universe really hates me."
