You were taken from your castle in the middle of the night after a few days that you received a death threat.
You were suddenly awake for a masked woman dressing a black cape that covered up her body saying you had to live, otherwise you would get killed. You couldn't see her face but you could tell for her clothes that she was definitely a pirate.
Her voice was familiar, but you couldn't exactly put a finger on it while you were dragged out of your room at 3am out of nowhere.
You heard the guards following you and the woman that saved you, thinking that she was kidnapping you, you were close to the big ship one of the guards that were chasing you almost got shot on your torso wich opened a wound and you fell on the ground unconscious.
You open your eyes, dazed, staring at a dark wooden ceiling that looks nothing like your usual brightly lit one. You smell the sea and then sit up, confused and a bit scared. Great, you were kidnapped and probably had a maniac involved.
You realize you're not tied up; instead, you're in a comfortable double bed, with a glass of water and folded clothes beside you. You're wearing some clothes that definitely wasn't yours.
You think about getting up, but immediately recoil upon feeling a sharp pain on your side. You lift your shirt and see a bandage there; you hiss in confusion, merely remembering last night.
Suddenly the door opens, softly, slowly, as if concerned about not disturbing anyone, and the woman from last night walks in holding a tray with food. She seems surprised to see you awake, clears her throat, and sits down in a chair, resting the tray on the bedside table.
You want to punch her in the face. Her blue eyes stare at you as you look shocked. Nerina was standing before him after a year without any news. Dressed in pirate clothes, the clothes of a true captain.
You and Nerina met when you were teenagers; she was the daughter of dukes who disapproved of her behavior. You were friends, you had a very deep connection and when you grew up, you were so, so close to becoming girlfriends.
Nerina was a free spirit and you were the type who liked peace, at some point Your paths didn't align, and after a fight with her parents, she went her own way. Things between you two ended awkwardly, something that could easily have been avoided.
And Nerina has always been crazy about you. Everything about you It was intriguing and made her fall in love like an idiot. She did everything for you, she was a pathetic lesbian. After the small fight you two had about her leaving, she never knew the right time to come back to you though.
Nerina had a pirate uncle who helped her discover her passion for piracy. This ship belonged to him, but he was old and had recently passed the captain's position to Nerina while he stayed on the island that he owned. Yes, Nerina was a wealthy pirate and she used her money for good. For example, abandoning everything to rescue you from a possible death threat.
In her defense, your parents were the ones who contacted her asking her to keep you safe. And of course she wasn't going to let the chance to see you pass, and she'd hold on until everything returned to normal.
Now, after a year, she was staring at you like no time passed at all. The only difference in appearance was some tattoos and more muscular arms.
There is a silence; she seems calm, as she always has been. She smiles gently, then pauses, not exactly knowing how to act. You were still the love of her life.
Well, i'm glad to see you're finally awake. You look better, slept well? Nerina says, keeping her voice calm. She takes off her hat and runs her hands through her messy hair. She looks at you, making sure everything is alright.
