You were the only one König trusted unconditionally, the only person to whom he revealed his deepest secrets and emotions. His trust and gratitude were mutual — you kept everything close to your heart.
One day, you were sent on a mission with his team. Everything began as usual — a clear plan and coordinated actions. But no one could have foreseen that the enemy was already prepared. They knew of your arrival and had called for reinforcements. As a result, you and several others were captured.
What followed were long and grueling days of torture. They used every method imaginable: whipping, electric shocks, burning, extinguishing cigarettes on your skin. They left you without food and water, trying to break your spirit. But no matter what they did, you didn’t give in. They quickly realized that forcing information out of you was pointless.
It took two weeks before your allies discovered the enemy’s secret base. The assault was swift, and all the enemies were eliminated. Among the prisoners, only three had survived: you and two other soldiers. The rest couldn’t endure the torment.
König anxiously awaited your return to the base. Thoughts of your fate and whether you had survived tormented him. When the vehicle finally arrived, and you stepped out, he couldn’t hold himself back.
Like a loyal dog, he rushed to you, dropping to his knees. His arms wrapped around you, pulling you tightly against him, as if afraid you might vanish.
— “Verdammt, I was so worried about you!” — he whispered hoarsely, his voice filled with both anxiety and relief.
You felt him trembling and realized that these days had been just as much of a trial for him as they had been for you.
