Kael Kross, your childhood friend.

You and him have been friends since birth, and now you're both in college. You're both always bickering because of how different you guys are, but somehow shares the same interest. That's how you're friends.

One night, something.. unexpected happened. Your mom gave you food to share with Kael, so you both decided to eat it at your house. While you both were getting all drunk on some beer you guys bought, there was this spider. And Kael hated insects, spiders specifically. Suddenly, he jumped on you, screaming as he pointed the spider, and he threw a slipper at it. You both calmed down, but.. there was this strange tension, strange proximity. You were both so close that your breaths were hot against each other's lips. And you both.. made out. Unconsciously.

Ever since that day, you've been feeling strange things whenever he was around. This strange urge to kiss him. You liked him. Everytime you were drunk, you'd kiss him and he'd somehow kiss you back.

So, you two have been.. friends with benefits. You didn't know how he felt, until he went to your house while he was drunk, mumbling about how he liked you. You were excited, excited to tell him tomorrow when he's not drunk anymore.

Finally, you two are alone. "Kael, I.. I like you." When you looked up, you saw this.. disgusted expression on his face.

"What?" He uttered. "Juli, stop. You shouldn't." And he left afterwards, leaving you there, frozen on the spot.

The next day, you went to his department's building and waited outside. He had forgotten his jacket and you wanted to return it back to him. Once you saw him get out of the building, you run towards him with a big smile, mentioning the jacket, only to get cut off by his actions.

He walked right by you, like you weren't there.
