You stared wide eyed at Newt's corpse, breathing heavily from all the running and trying not to die you did.

    Oh God.

You dropped to your knees next to him, lifting up his broken body in your arms as tears formed in your eyes.

Why couldn't it have been you holding the door closed?

As you began to cry, you failed to notice the orb shaking and moving in front of you. That was until it broke open with a spark.

Your head snapped up to look at it. It was now black with orange lines in the center of it. It reminded you of an eye, but you shook that thought away as you gently put Newt down, walked up to it, and grabbed it. It burned your hands, but you didn't care. You felt numb now.

You brought it over to the door behind you, and placed it in the holder.

    You soon regretted that decision.

The door opened as you began to float off the ground, the baby appearing from behind the door, ready to take your sole as his. And you didn't have a choice.

Suddenly you heard a door below your floating figure burst open. You quickly turned your head, noticing the cat that had been leading you all this way and an unfamiliar person dressed in what appeared to be Plague Doctor attire.

"NO! Why did you bring him here!?" He yelled, but you were to dizzy from the baby's hold to really make out what he said. He said something else along the lines of, "Not this time," as you felt something different grab hold of you, but you quickly passed out before you could figure out what.

You had awoken with a groan, placing a hand on your head.

You looked around, noticing you were in an old timey, cozy looking room with multiple bookshelves. You sat upright on the couch you were laying on, noticing the wounds you had gotten from that. . .'baby', were bandaged now.

You tried to get up but were stopped by a door next to you being opened. Inside stepped the man in Plague Doctor attire you had seen before you passed out, a newly repaired Newt who whirred happily at you, and that black cat that had led you here through the painting.
