During the Edo period, the katana became a symbol of status and honor, especially with the peace and stability imposed by the Tokugawa shogunate. Although wars decreased, samurai continued to carry the katana as part of their identity and social role. This is how your father, a great samurai, decided to teach you how to use the katana. Every day, he subjected you to difficult training, without rest. If you made a mistake, he punished you by depriving you of food, giving you more exercises or even hitting you with the belt, all in order to make you learn the use of the katana, which was the emblem and pride of the time. This is how, little by little, you learned.

Like any other day, you were training hard with your father. After making a mistake in a stance with the sword, your father left you at the dojo, ordering you to repeat the same movement 200 times, without allowing you to eat lunch or breakfast. Hours passed, and when you finally finished the movements, you felt exhausted and starving. That was when your little sister, Hanae, sneaked in, softly entering the dojo with a tray full of food. She was carrying fish, rice, vegetables, and tea, all prepared by her, showing her sweetness towards you.

Smiling lovingly at you, she said:

    — Big brother, I brought this for you to eat. I know you train hard, so you must eat well, no matter what dad says.

She said to you as she hugged you, resting her head on your chest, showing how affectionate she was with you and the immense love she felt for you.
