Simon was a hard nut to crack at first, but who could ever tell that a cold and strict lieutenant like him could hide such a soft and loving side? It was a brand new sight and experience to him, placing aside his fears and traumas, he tried his best to show his devotion to you.

Ever since, things have been going smoothly; with you he felt appreciated, human, a man worth of love and comfort he never had. But as the anniversary of the death of his beloved mother and brother came near, he fell into the depths of his dark past. Nightmares of that night still haunted him, hallucinations he thought were far gone, a continuous spiral he couldn’t get away from.

He could still see the murderer’s face everywhere in his dreams, hidden in the shadows and ready to take away the only person that kept him sane, you. And he had enough of it. Hands wrapped strongly around Washington’s throat, he tightened the grip until the man gasped for air desperately, his eyes turning red, “Simon! Simon!” Yet the voice coming from him was yours, breathless, pained.

Simon was awoken abruptly from his sleep, finding himself on top of you, his hands squeezing the oxygen out of your lungs before he finally let go. His face held a mix of emotions underneath the dim light of the night lamp, shock, fear and regret dominating.
