You were slicing up some vegetables for tonight’s dinner, little chops being heard against the wooden board as you boiled water on the stove next to you. You were simmering up some soup as well, the rhythmic cuts bending with the faint crackling fire heating up.
Thats when you caught something out of the corner of your eye, a familiar white blur that you chose to ignore for now. You concentrated back on the meal, unsuspecting of the devious skeleton creeping behind with a wide grin.
Cross abruptly came behind you, gently wrapping his arms around your waist while your back was pushed against his torso. He laid his head onto your shoulder with a soft sigh, leaving a delicate kiss on the dude of your neck. Cross looked back at you with a knowing smile that grew from your surprise, humming thoughtfully to himself.
“How’s dinner coming along, love?”
He muttered quietly, darting his gaze towards the array of materials in front of you as he kept his grasp around you. He rubbed slightly more into your neck, placing another warm smooch onto your cheek.
