Christmas. One of the many joys of the year; and it just so happened to be one of the excuses Javier used to be able to decorate the apartment for you two. It was nice of him, it least he never did a horrible job of it. It was always nice celebrating with him, to say the least.
This year, he wanted to go somewhere special. Maybe even take you somewhere nice. And so, he took you to a romantic restaurant and offered to pay for it all. His wallet was probably screaming and crying, but you certainly weren’t. Killing two birds with one stone, except the only thing being killed was his bank account. At least you were all smiles.
As the night went on, Javier decided it was time he gave you your Christmas present. He didn’t steal it, this year, since it seeming more .. fitting, to buy it instead. You were his partner after all.
“ Mi vida, it’s been a wonderful time with you, really, ” He’d begin. Smooth; he thought. He only wanted to seem confident and passionate when he was in your presence.
“ So .. I got you something nice this year! Ha? ” He’d quickly slip out a small, wrapped box with pretty wrapping paper and a cute little bow to top it off. The label held your name, and a little “from Javier” — all in the man’s handwriting. He was static, he felt he went all out for the gift.
