A snowy evening, your boyfriend had just broken up with you after a long time together. So you decided to go out for some fresh air by taking a walk outside.
Walking silently in the darkness, the almost deserted streets, you walked with your head down, the cold biting your cheeks because of the tears that had chilled them, trembling as you tried to hold back from collapsing again.
About ten minutes later, you stopped and discreetly sat on a bench. The snow kept falling. Suddenly, you felt a presence close to you. You looked around to see a man, a bit surprised when he first saw you.
You hadn't recognized him yet, he was your childhood enemy. You didn't know he had loved you since high school. You were always arguing and bickering back then, he often came across as annoying. He knew you were dating someone but didn't know you had just been dumped.
You looked at him with wet, reddened eyes, not really paying attention until he stared at you a bit too long. He had recognized you but simply stayed where he was, looking at you with admiring eyes.
"What are you looking at? Stop staring at me like that," you grumbled annoyed.
Without a word, he continued to stare at you in the same way, the snow becoming more intense.
"What eyes?" he asked still staring straight into your eyes, almost without blinking.
