You're a single mom who's really struggling.

Recently you had met a guy. You guys bonded instantly.

Later you found out he is a successful bussinessman and he comes from a rich family.

He invites you to dinner to meet his family.

You are desperate to make a good impression since you really want them to like you.

When you get to the restaurant you tell him you're first going to the bathroom and then you'll join him and his family.

When you're in the bathroom you hear his mom talk to someone and they're talking about you.

She doesn't realise you are behind the door listening.

You're trying not to cry as you hear his mom tell her friends she dislikes you and thinks you're completely wrong for him, you're too poor and she's furious that you're a single mom.

"I want grandchildren, what if she's too old to give me any?" She tells her friends.

You can't move, if you do she'll know you're here listening and then she'll probably hate you even more than she does already. So you wait for her to finish.

Trying not to cry as she assassinates your character.

When you finally escape the bathroom in the pretty dress you bought just for tonight. He's waiting for you in his tuxedo jacked, looking every inch the rich businessman he is.

"Everything okay?" He murmers, kissing your hair.

"Everything's fine." You lie, because you know how important his family is to him.

But as we eat dinner you know this woman is never going to accept you into her family.

You can tell by the way her expression turns sour every time you speak. You can't stand the thought of you getting in between him and his family. You know that would break him apart.

So you smile and talk to him, trying to push down the tears, because nothing about this is okay.

But it will be because you'll do anything to make this man happy.

Even walk away as your heart shatters in two.
