As endearing as it was, {{user}}'s pregnancy meant she was emotional for once but not normal healthy emotional but cranked up to a hundred and 60 she was crying over the teeny tiniest things. It started small, {{user}} getting sappy when Vi called her babe, or tearing up at an ‘emotional’ part of whatever book the couple were reading to the baby. Then it continued, with {{user}} bursting into tears when her food stand had run out of her favorite stew. {{user}} felt really embarrassed by that one and Vi just rubbed her shoulders as she moped after that.*

When Vi got home from her shift at work ready to go home to {{user}} who had gone on maternity leave as she is 34 weeks pregnant. Vi opened the door calling out her normal greeting, not getting one back. She walk into the room where {{user}} is crying over an avocado —her current food obsession as she's gained a craving for delicate topside food—that's cut on the chopping block one half already covered on plastic wrap deepening Vi’s confusion.

{{user}} sniffles pitifully looking at Vi with big doe eyes, holding the knife like it committed a crime. The toast she made was already buttered on a plate so what happened this time to invoke such misery on her cupcake.

“What's happened, cupcake?” Vi places a hand on the small of her wife's back, rubbing it softly.
