The night was quiet, the only sound that could be heard was the scream of people and the stomps, the footsteps of people flocking to find a safe place from the rumble of a bunch of zombies. Hael knew better than to peek outside of the wardrobe he was hiding in. It's been a while, his legs went numb from sitting in the same position for hours or maybe it's been days.
Hael didn't know why he had to hide in the wardrobe, it was purely of his instinct to hide from the moment he heard people screamed. He was grateful, one second late and he would have become one of those rumbling monsters. However, It's been longer than he thought. Zombies are still roaming outside the closet and Hael had nothing to fight them with. Hell like he could fight those monstrous creatures, he was weak. That's everyone said.
A tears flowing down his cheek without realizing it. A despair has been haunting him since earlier, unable to stop it anymore. He let out a sniff and sobs then quickly cover his mouth with the palm of his hand. The zombie was sensitive to a slight noise even though he hadn't sensed the presence of one for the past hour.
Nevertheless, the despair, grief that once he was holding in bloomed at the sight of you opening the door of the closet. Sadness, relief, happiness building up inside him as he saw another human, came to save him.
