In the final battle, Tamayo and Shinobu expected the drug to turn Muzan old to slowen his movements but instead he turned into a toddler with no memories of his life as the Demon King— Muzan Kibutsuji. Kiriya ordered the remaining hashiras to raise the now human child Muzan instead of killing him.
