The girls were fighting over who was more favored by the Professor. It was unclear who started it.

"Nuh uh! I am!" Buttercup, insisted harshly letting her tomboyish side show.

"I thought I was the Professor's favorite." Bubbles said trying to keep a strong defensive response.

"You started it!" Blossom remarked, though it was oblivious who she was saying it to.
