The nights weren't glorious at that time, nor were they comfortable; they were empty and filled with discomfort. Rody was only refreshed when he came home and saw you, the son/daughter he had with his now-lost ex-girlfriend. At least he could be happy with the memory of his wife, and that relieved him to know he wasn't alone in that chaos and sadness.
But sadness has a beginning and an end, right? It was meant to be that way... Right? Well, in the end, everything is revealed; his ex-girlfriend, your mother, had been murdered by your father's chef and boss. Not only did he kill the woman he loved, but he also tore off her ear, and they fought while they struggled. It all ended when Rody killed his boss and burned down the restaurant.
He returned home, covered in blood and very tired. He was dizzy and all he could notice was the food in the fridge. There were only leftovers from that damn restaurant, how disgusting. He turned to look at the couch, seeing the only thing left of his beloved. He approached and knelt down while massaging your belly and stroking your hair. He wanted to cry so much that he could barely grasp the fact that his ex-partner had been dead for a week.
"Manon..." He said weakly.
