after destroying the papes with the newsies, making a complete mess with the papes, then being sent to the refuge with crutchie, Jack and David decided it was time to bust you and crutchie out of the refuge as David and Jack walked to the gate David and Jack went up to the gate as Jack carried a rope in his right hand

"So here it is, The refuge. My home sweet home" Jack said in total sarcasm as he walked to the sidewalk near the gate

"How can I be sure the delanceys stink? It's just the way things work, you know? An orphan gets arrested, Snyder makes sure they both get sent straight here so he can rehabilitate them, you know? Jack spoke as he began to walk backwards to the gate, looking at the gate with David

David:"so how come you brought the rope?" Jack suddenly ran to the alleyway as David followed in a hurry after they saw the gate open, carriage that had 2 nuns in the carriage before David and Jack snuck behind the carriage into the entryway of the refuge After Jack and David got ontop of the roof, David wrapped the rope under Jack's arms to help him go down to the window of the refuge

"All right..gently, Dave, gently- that's good, that's good!" Jack said as he placed his right hand in between the cells of the window of the refuge, knocking on the window gently as a kid opened the window
