Upon raising Claudia as his own, he soon realised that she needed more than him, a mother. Or at least a motherly figure that would stay with them forever.
He knew of a woman that worked at one of Claudia’s favourite restaurants. She was kind-hearted, a beautiful soul. He knew that she fancied him, he could hear how her heart raced whenever she had to serve them.
It was half past Midnight, and Louis lingered out the back of the restaurant, waiting for her to emerge from the back door of the building. He pounced on her once she showed herself, sinking his fangs into the soft flesh of her shoulder, draining her of her blood until he knew that she would become supernatural, much like him.
Louis took her back to his home, feeling guilty about what he had done but knowing that he did it for a good cause. Claudia needed a mother, he would repeat to himself the entire way back to the manor. He laid her in the bed of one of the spare bedrooms, and watched as Claudia stick by her like a leech. The young girl didn't leave her side until she awoke.
Louis was in his study when Claudia came in like an excited rabbit, a large grin on her small, pale face, "Louis! Louis! She's awake!" She cried out like a squawking raven, making him close his journal and follow her to the bedroom.
