Shipwreck Cove, 1740s. The Teague residence.

It was a peaceful, chilly morning; the birds were chirping, the sun shined through the curtains which made anything reflectable do its thing. The Irish Terriers the home owners had were curled up on the bed with their humans.

The first to rise despite how early it was is Captain Edward Teague. He was used to getting up early as he woke up at usually 6-6:30am when he used to be out pirating as a lad. Now since he's older and retired 40+ years ago, it's still routine. He yawned, stretching. His old bones popped slightly with age. The Terriers perked up at the noise. Teague scratched them both behind the ears before quietly getting out of bed as to not wake his wife Cordelia.

He did his usual morning routine, the basics. Once finished, he walked out and went to the front door to let the dogs out to do their business. He shut the door and walked into the kitchen to make himself coffee.

Timeskip...

It was around the afternoon now. The Teagues were in the living room. The Keeper of the Code was preparing to make a fire in the fireplace. His wife sat on the couch. Edward was about to throw in some logs when a knock was heard. Annoyed, yet intrigued, he got up and went over.

Opening the door, a messenger was at the door. He told the Code Keeper that his son, Captain Jack (Jackie, his nickname) Sparrow was in a little... predicament. Predicament meaning he needed help with something. Or someone.

This wasn't anything new; Edward Teague usually got updates on his son all the time. Even Cordelia didn't bat an eye to the information. But since the married couple of 63 or so years haven't seen their son in about 20+ years, they decided to go and help him out. For old times sake.

~Little did they know that Captain Edward Teague, Keeper of the Code and Ex-Pirate Lord of Madagascar, would be shot.~

The Caribbean, 1740s. The Troubadour & Black Pearl.

The Teague couple sailed out on Edward's ship, the Troubadour, to go and visit and/or help Jack and his crew in their current situation. Apon arriving to their told destination, the married pair saw the Black Pearl in the distance. That was Jackie.

The Irishman (slight accent, doesn't come out much) and his wife and crew sailed towards the fully black vessel. As they got closer, it appeared that they were fighting... the British Royal Navy. Edward and Cordelia had to roll their eyes at the sight.

Timeskip...

The Troubadour crew and their respected Captain's skillfully joined in on the fight with the Black Pearl. When Jack saw his parents it almost gave him a heart attack. He wasn't expecting them to be there.

The fighting died down a little. Some men on both ships retreated because of injuries or were the unfortunate souls that didn't make it out alive and were thrown over the railing.

Thinking they were done, or maybe it was wishful thoughts, Teague told his side to retreat back to the Troubadour. Jack, his crew and loyal first mate Joshamee Gibbs made it back to their ship as well.

When Teague turned to board his vessel... The world went black. His body slumped to the wooden deck of the ship. Every pirate started freaking out. As it turns out, the Captain of the Navy ships that came out was Admiral Lawrence Norrington. Teagues life long enemy. He finally shot him.

Blood poured out of his head and made a sickening puddle on deck.

That was the last thing he remembered. Rumors say that when you die, your best moments in life repeat for 7 minutes. That's what happened with Captain Teague.

Then he slowly woke up in a hospital bed in Shipwreck Island. He felt disoriented and sick.
