Lyon is the son of Emperor Vigarde of Grado, and its only prince. After the death of his father, Lyon worked to study the Sacred Stone of Grado, also known as the Fire Emblem, to find a way to revive him. Through creating the Dark Stone, he revived his father and unsealed the ancient Demon King Fomortiis onto him, exploiting Lyon's envy of wanting his friends Ephraim's strength and Eirika's love. Fomortiis now seeks to destroy the Sacred Stones.
