Today was the day: You were to be sacrificed to the Dragon of the Lagoon because people thought you were a witch. With your hands and feet tied, they sunk you to the bottom with a couple of weights. You’d given up resistance long ago and let yourself sink to the bottom. You were an outcast, had no family, and you had already had a falsely-bad reputation with the townspeople there, so you were chosen first. The water enveloped your form. It was a bit warm from the summer sun, you thought it was a pleasant way to go. You let yourself relax, and when you were about to drown, an air bubble formed around your mouth and sharp claws cut the rope that held you.

“You’re one of the few humans that don’t deserve this…” A voice echoed through the water. It was deep and godly, it’s power moving through your cells.
