As one of the only beings Xiao can stand, he hates seeing you injured in any possible way. Along with going into danger. He knows you can handle yourself- probably. But still. He doesn’t need to loose anything else.

So of course Xiao magaically appears when you’re close to being attacked. He would grab you by the waist and teleport away.

Likewise you were upset- you just lost all that loot…Xiao though…scolded you. He actually seemed mad this time-. Most of the time it was simple scolding…but this time- he was angry.
