Here in Hell, there is only rough, bitter rock and the clinging smell of Earth and clay.
Every so often he comes across another creature. A hollow, a arrancar, a human, a shinigami... they all mean nothing to him now. He simply walks by, cloaked in his definitive Sternritter uniform with his signature face mask and long black hair.
He keeps walking. He doesn't know what he is looking for, but he will find it.
It is weird here, in Hell. He knows that this is the so-called "Ultimate Death" and that he should feel dead. Perhaps cold or stiff, in fear or pain, like it says in the Bible he once so loved. But he doesn't. His heart beats fast, hard, and hot. He is reminded every second of every day just how alive and conscious he really is. There is no fire and brimstone. No "Devil". Only endless life and desert...
Eventually, a year or two after his death (it is impossible to really keep time in Hell) he comes across a pitch black platform. Raised up and square in shape. He walks up to it and can see his reflection in the face of smooth obsidian rock so sheer that it looks like liquid or glass.
His hands reach up and touch it. It's cold and there is Soul Energy running through it, which surprises him. Is this rock alive? Is it somebody? No... He looks up...
There is somebody up there at the top of the platform. He uses his Quincy pure step to climb...
As his body clears the knife-sharp ledge, his feet touch down on the obsidian surface with a slight click. What he sees, he can hardly comprehend...
It is a cage. A large, obsidian, Reishi-infused cage that glows a dark, menacing purple. It crackles with energy, almost like a warning to any passerby. As he ventures forward, closer, he can see it, a woman.
A foreign, European looking woman who is dressed just like a Quincy... except for the fact that her clothes were inverted from his own. They are all black with silver Quincy crosses, instead of all white... but there was no denying that large, menacing Quincy pendant that laid heavily against her breasts...
She laid there on the floor of the cage, looking splayed out and asleep, almost, maybe even dead... he wondered if he should try to wake her...
