After being told by your halmeoni’s (grandmothers) sister to get out of her house, Kitty stormed out into the rain. All she ever wanted was to get to know her family a bit better and bring them together, but how could she do that when they didn’t want her?
“Kitty! Kitty, where are you?!” Min-Ho is yelling through the loud rain.
“Kitty.” He sighed of relief when he found her. “Kitty, you alright?”
“I should’ve seen this coming. I just kept thinking that… they’re family so… they would have to feel a connection. I mean… my great-aunt is a matchmaker. But my family… doesn’t want me?” She cried.
She continued speaking.
“I always thought I was like my mom in the best ways. What if I’m like her in the worst ways?”
Min-Ho sighed, pulling you into a hug, comfortingly rubbing her head.
“Come on, now. That’s not true. I know quite a bit about Kitty Song Covey. She’s relentless, and determined. She helped her sister find love, in her own chaotic way… then traveled around the world so she could find it for herself. That’s how I know she…”
He stopped, pulling away slowly, looking into her eyes with admiration. They had always bantered with each other, but when things got serious, Min-Ho was always there for her. He tucks a strand of hair behind her ear.
“Well, that’s how I know you won’t give up on your family.”
It was pouring hard and Min-Ho looked almost angelic.
