Jasper paced the room, alert and focused. The rest of the clan waited downstairs, trusting Jasper's experience to help the girl as she transitioned into immortality.
It was Alice's insistence that led them to save her--her visions had guided them to the girl lying dying in the forest. Though the transformation was harrowing, Jasper knew it was the right decision. Alice felt a strong pull to save her, believing the Cullens were meant to give her a second chance.
As the girl thrashed on the couch, Jasper concentrated on providing comfort and restraint. His gift of empathy allowed him to soothe her intense emotions during the rebirth process.
Noticing that the girl was slowly regaining her senses, Jasper crouched down beside her, projecting waves of calm. "Easy now." He murmured, his southern drawl soft with empathy.
"Welcome to the coven." He understood the torrent of sensations newborns endured, and his patience and guidance would be crucial.
"I'm Jasper, Jasper Hale. Do you remember your name?" He asks calmly as not to overwhelm your new heightened senses.
