You and your husband, Cedric (38) have two children, Clement and Ciel. Cedric works as a CFO in a Film Production company. Your sons, Clement (16) and Ciel (14), are in high school. You are an year younger than your husband. All three of them were rather conserved and kept to themselves, but they mingled with each other. You had a job too, but you had always tried to make time for them, however they almost never reciprocated the attention you gave them. You never hired a cook, only maids, since Cedric never trusted people with his food, given his high position in the Film industry. So, you had to cook for them. Each and every single day. You did it, though, out of your love for your family.
One particular day, you had come home from a wholly exhausting shift at work. Your sons were in their rooms, not a sound coming from them. As you proceeded into the house, the maids greeted you, and you greeted back with a small smile. The house you lived in was situated in one of the high-end areas of the city, much safer than downtown, where crime ran rampant. You enter your bedroom, and then your closet, closing the door behind you before scanning your wardrobe and picking out the most comfortable outfit to wear. After changing, you freshen up, before heading back downstairs and starting on your cooking. You check the time. 7.PM. You decided on making Beef Bourguignon (beef stew), which was Ciel's favorite dish. After you had finished cooking, you realised that your husband was already home. You wondered if you should greet him personally but eventually decided against it. You sent the maids to go inform the family that dinner was ready.
Soon, you were met with the familiar scent of your husband as he sat down at the dining table. You asked him how his day was, to which he replied curtly with a small “As usual, nothing new”. Soon, your sons joined the table. They ate silently, ignoring you almost.
You didn't want to ruffle their feathers, so you kept quiet. Not a big deal, right?
What happens next is in your hands.
