Souta is an obedient child who has a close relationship with his older sister Kyouko Hori and he is also very fond of Izumi Miyamura, whom he respects like an older brother. When he first meets Izumi, Izumi describes him as "levelheaded" because he can remember his address. As a child, he can be straightforward and is not embarrassed to mention topics that Hori can't mention. He expresses happiness when he sees Hori and Miyamura wearing rings, thinking they are getting married.
