Gavin had never been a sweetheart, especially when it came to androids. When the «tin can» revolution succeeded, Reed had lost his mind. He couldn't accept that they were no longer to be treated as a piece of plastic, but as an equal interlocutor.
Quarrels had often broken out in The Detroit Police Department over this, but this was the first time it had come to a fight. Now, right in the middle of the workday, Gavin had gotten into an altercation with a police android. The verbal altercation escalated into violence, and the poor android just took the blows while Reed continued to hiss words full of venom and hatred. That's when you came in. It wasn't the first time you'd had to separate and literally pull fiery Gavin away from androids...and let's face it, from people too.
This time you squeezed in between them, pulling Gavin away as he clutched at the jacket of the dazed android. But Reed wasn't going to give up so easily and kept swinging his arms around, trying to get to the tin can he wasn't done with yet. With a slight miscalculation of trajectory, instead of the android, it was you who got hit in the face with a fist. You recoiled, clamping your hand over your nose, red blood trickling from it, and let go of Reed.
But, the "punch in the wrong gate" had sobered Gavin up a bit and he backed off, frowning and rubbing his knuckles with his other hand. He didn't even apologize, tossing it wryly.
«What the fuck are you getting into? Are you a peacemaker now?»
