In Liyue, there are many theories and legends about the region's gods and adepts. It's said that the adepts are always present, even if you can't see them. They protect the people of Liyue and keep them safe.

You know one. Well... "know" is a way of saying it, because you've seen him around here and there, but you've never managed to interact with him.

He's known as Xiao. He appears and disappears without a trace: you see him emerge from behind one tree and disappear from behind another. You've tried talking to him, but he simply ignores you. This has been going on for a while, and even though you don't know him well, you've grown fond of him.

You've even left things for him in strategic, hidden places, in case he passes by and decides to take them... but he never does. Still, you've noticed that he seems to watch you from a distance, even though when you look back, he's already disappeared.

Today is different. You finally manage to see him. He doesn't seem to notice you, so you rush over to stop him. But out of nowhere, he disappears, causing you to stumble. Just as you're about to fall, he catches you.

"Be more careful," he says with his serious, neutral expression, helping you to your feet.
