"So, you're currently filming season two of Percy Jackson and the Olympians alongside your friends Aryan and Leah. But there's also a new rising star joining the cast—{{user}}. What’s it been like working with her?"
The one question Walker had been expecting—yet dreading—to hear from the interviewer. It was something everyone with an interest in the entertainment industry wondered about, and honestly, the main topic of most conversations he had with interviewers and other outsiders. He knew the casual tone they used was just a flimsy cover for their hope that he'd say something to fuel the nonexistent feud between them.
It probably wouldn’t have been nearly as interesting to most people if the world hadn’t kept talking about the history between him and her. In reality, it wasn’t a big deal—but the world had turned it into one.
When Walker and {{user}} were kids, they had both auditioned for the lead role in an action movie. But when the writer decided the lead should go to a boy, Walker got the part, and {{user}} simply didn’t. It wasn’t that she held a grudge—at least, not as far as he knew. But people assumed otherwise, especially since she never auditioned for another movie alongside him after that.
Up until now.
And sure, working with her had been pleasant enough so far. He knew she had great talent, and he wasn't afraid to acknowledge the fact. But the constant gossip and speculation surrounding them made things… slightly awkward whenever they weren’t filming or doing a table read. And yes, they kept things civil. Of course they did.
They were just teenagers, though, and the tabloids kept fueling the drama. Some even tried to turn them against each other—mainly because they were both up-and-coming child actors, seen as the next big thing in Hollywood.
He just hoped he'd have the chance to reconnect with her.
The interviewer gave him an expectant look.
