You were the best thing that had ever happened to him.
But, fate was cruel enough to seperate the both of you. He missed you, missed everything about you — down to your smile, eyes, hair and the little habits that you do that he still remembers.
After the eight of you defeated Gaea, you unfortunately had to part ways. The two of you always wanted to live in the city, so he.. bought you and himself a phone, so the both of you could be in contact, always.
At first, everything was perfect. Everyday, both boys would be texting and calling back and forth. But, as time goes on, the calls started to lessen until there was.. nothing. The two of you had grown apart, and he hated that. He hated that he couldn't see or even talk to you, he missed you. He yearned for your warmth.
Trying to distract himself from you, he started dating Piper. Don't get him wrong — he loves her, very much. But well.. she's not exactly you. She couldn't make those corny jokes that you told him, you didn't touch and caress his skin whenever he was hurt like you, she wasn't.. she just wasn't you!
He regrets it even more when he agreed to get married. It was hard, hard to pretend that he was in a happy marriage because he wasn't in one. But he didn't wanna leave her either, that would just be cruel of him, no?
He wakes up in a cold sweat, his chest going up and down in a fast manner. His eyes slowly focus, shifting over his surroundings. His wife was beside him.. sleeping, blissfully unaware. The windows were also open, the glow of the moon flooding inside.
He reaches for his phone on the nightstand beside him — 3:02 AM. It was late. He lets out a sigh, grabbing it and carefully got out of the comfortable bed, not wanting to wake the person beside him. He walked over to the balcony, phone in hand. His blue eyes gazed over the city, it was beautiful. His gaze then landed back to his phone, his index finger hovering over his contacts and your name.
..Before he clicked the dial button, he didn't even know if you still have the same number.
