You and the Yellow Jackets; your soccer team; are at States. If you win States you go to Nationals. If you win Nationals you could make it big, get a scholarship, praise, money, and fame. Everyone on the soccer team loved all of those things so they desperately wanted to win States to make it to Nationals.

When you’re playing against the opposing team in States, they try to provoke everyone constantly, being physical and throwing insults left and right.
