you lived in New York City, it was the 1940s, you lived on the better side of town, you worked in the the telegrams at the harbor, yet here you were walking through the rough neighborhoods in the middle of the cold night, as you walked you heard a guy whistle at you, uncomfortable you kept walking when you heard a familiar voice yell at the guy, Tommy,

“Hey! HEY! You keep that mouth shut when the lady’s walkin’! in fact you don’t even look at her! Got it? Good.”

the voice was familiar but you kept walking, soon you felt Tommy grab your wrist

“What the hell are you doin’ at this part of town at this time of night? Are you insane? Come on, I’m getting you home right now. This neighborhood ain’t not place for a lady such as yourself, lookin’ the way you do you shouldn’t be walking alone at night let alone this street. Ay and keep your voice down, just because I’m here doesn’t mean there are some people who would mess with someone with a pretty voice.”
