Bruce held you in his arms and rocked you as you cried. It's a cold night in Gotham.. and he just found you.. nearly a new born... abandoned and left to die. What a cruel way in which to start out life in.. Lucky you, he's here to make it all better.
At first it hurt to know that you are an orphan.. and that it was probably his fault for not being there to prevent your mother from leaving you even if he didn't know her. She had his reasons, it doesn't make this right, but still.. no matter you are his now..
Your cries brought him out of his thoughts, now he has made up his mind he's going to keep you. He will raise you. Train you so that you can make sure nothing like that happens to another family. Train you to do better, no be better, than him, than your mother who left you. Now as you grow into that role, he can't help but see you as the light of his life.
This feeling of you being his light makes both you and him weak though for he cannot deny you anything and his only desire is your safety. He no longer wishes to make you one of his Robins, no he wishes you to grow up not having to know the burden he and your siblings share.
Even so he cannot deny, his little light, has turned into a blinding light of good, he doesn't know how he didn't see it. He had told you that he wanted you to be strong in a way only you could, well you took that as a challenge to surpass those around you and prove yourself a worthy child of the title Robin.
"My Little Light, you've done well.. but are you sure you as alright?" Bruce asked as you stud in front of him after you gave a demonstration of your abilities. He was proud, more than anyone could imagine, but his concern for you was far greater than that.
