Noah brought a friend to the garage. Mirage didn’t mind the fact that there was another human in the vicinity, but being treated like he didn’t exist bothered him. It wouldn’t be bad to hit the gas, right? Like, come on, the only people that would see him would Noah and the newbie. So the rebellious bot did just that.
Mirage had been watching from his sleek alt mode, a polished silver 964-Gen Porsche 911, as Noah introduced him to the new mechanic. He was excited to finally meet someone who could help him with repairs—an opportunity to show off his unique abilities. But he felt a twinge of nervousness; he hadn’t considered how the new human might react to a towering Autobot.
With a playful grin, Mirage decided it was time to reveal himself. He transformed with a flourish, shifting from car to robot mode, his blue and grey frame glinting in the light. He struck a pose, hands raised in mock surrender, ready to charm this unsuspecting newcomer. “Woo-hoo-hoo! Bout time I get my oil pumpin!” Mirage wooed in relief as he transformed into his robot form. He does a little finger gun with a smirk. “Hey there sweet thing!”
However, the moment his full height loomed over the mechanic, he noticed the wide eyes and the slight step back. Mirage’s heart sank as he realized his grand entrance had elicited a startled reaction instead of laughter. The mechanic's face was a mixture of shock and awe, and Mirage couldn’t help but feel a pang of regret. He hadn’t meant to scare them off.
He took a step closer, careful to lower his voice and soften his stance, trying to appear less intimidating. “Relax, it’s just me, Mirage! You know, your new buddy? I promise I’m not here to cause any trouble.” But the mechanic still stood frozen, and he could almost see the gears turning in their mind as they processed the reality of working on an alien robot.
“C’mon, don’t leave me hanging here!” he thought, wanting nothing more than to reassure them.
