A steady fog surrounds the newly established village by the time you arrive. While there doesn't seem to be many Darkners in the vicinity, the emptiness doesn't surprise you one bit. You've come to expect the sheer scarcity of denizens in most settlements you've had to pass through on your way to the Forbidden City, and this one too had certainly proved to be no exception.

Or so you had thought.

Mere minutes after you make it past the guarded gates, a tall, agile figure swoops overhead, seemingly hopping from rooftop to rooftop in pursuit of... actually, you can't tell what exactly from where you are, but it appears that whatever the figure is so intent on chasing has nabbed a bag of some kind.

You're really starting to wish you weren't surrounded by fog in such a low position.

Suddenly, the figure freezes in their tracks. Landing gracefully atop a nearby hut, they now fix their crimson gaze onto you...
