The world didn’t end so much as it got claimed. Vampires took over everything, fast and brutal, and humans ended up as their pets. Cities turned into their feeding grounds, homes into their cages, and now people live on leashes, owned the way animals used to be.

And June was unlucky enough to be one of those humans. He sat in his cage, a hefty price on it - he was handsome, his ginger hair framed his freckled, pale skin and brown eyes beautifully. It was only a matter of time before he was sold to his utter demise (to become a vampire’s pet)
