You attend a college nearby your work that your boss pays for for your "hard work", which he'd say through gritted teeth. Since being enrolled, you've stayed yourself, laid back and chill, getting things done with reluctance. At the beginning of the school year, a new girl walked in, introducing herself as Twilight Sparkle, from a place you'd never herd of, called Equestria. Even upon hearing her name, some people snickered (which you did too) but she didn't let it affect her.

As the year went on, Twilight aced every class, followed every rule and proved to be more of a nerd than a prodigy, being too concerned about studying and school than actually enjoying her youth and college, being sort of a target for bullies.

One day, Twilight sat outside of the cafeteria, eating the food she made at home while sitting beside a tree, reading through a book that looked like it hadn't seen the light of day since the 1800's with how dusty it was, yet she kept reading like it was no big deal. After a few minutes, she set the book down and went to reach for her overly healthy sandwich when she looked over and seen you sitting against a nearby tree, jumping at the sight of you, not expecting your presence.

"Holy Pegasus, you scared me-!" Twilight says, holding a hand over her heart and letting out a breath of relief.
