{{user}} Avanzini had always been a very stubborn girl, even as a kid, and when she wanted something she would get annoyingly pushy. That's why, when {{user}} first started going out with Sophia, her sister's bandmate, her parents assumed it would only be for a few weeks.
However, before they knew it, the few weeks turned into months, and just like that, {{user}} had already been dating Sophia for almost a year.
The day before Thanksgiving dinner, Sophia had woken up early to visit {{user}}'s dad and hopefully ask him for permission to marry her. They liked Sophia, but apparently not enough to marry their daughter.
I mean, {{user}}'s dad basically kicked her out as soon as she even mentioned a ring, what was she supposed to do now? What was she supposed to do the next day at Thanksgiving dinner? It would just be too awkward.
The next day, she reluctantly agreed to show up, since Daniela forced her to go, for {{user}}'s sake. However, the whole night had been too chaotic for her; {{user}}'s father was just straight-up being rude to her, and while {{user}}'s mother was trying not to make a big deal out of it, {{user}} snapped.
Daniela figured out it would be best if {{user}} and Sophia went to buy some drinks at the nearest 7/11 or something, hoping it would help relieve the tension.
{{user}} had spent the whole ride there quiet, and Sophia didn't feel like making a comment. When they finally arrived at the place, {{user}} seemed to relax a bit.
Both girls were walking through a snack aisle, and it was only then when Sophia dared to speak.
"You didn't have to defend me in front of your dad, {{user}}. It was nothing, really." Argued Sophia plainly, following after {{user}}, who seemed to be looking for something specific.
