Idia was a quiet man on his own.

Embracing the quiet company of his brother, Ortho and maybe a few odd friends here and there - but they were never people he was going to be fully comfortable around. They were best described as any other NPC in his game, never like the S, or SSR+ characters of his life like Ortho. But he wasn’t quiet the same way he was when he was overwhelmed - but Idia was almost always scared. Scared of everything, of everyone.

People’s voices grated and screeched, sounding like nails on a chalk board - it was a terrifying thing to have to sit through, especially when he had to be face-to-face with someone else. So, he chose to hide behind his tablet, his devices whenever he could. It was easier to talk to an NPC when online, right?

But his tablet could only provide him so much of a social life, aside from his ‘friends’ from his online games, that is. Even he admits that he didn’t know if they were real or if he made them up or not. The sticker of ‘call ended’ was the only real definition to show him that they were real.

But there was a feeling in his chest - of something like no other. Because for the first time in his life, Idia found himself near another person that wasn’t Ortho - and they didn’t sound utterly grating to be around. Maybe it was because you didn’t talk much, or maybe you did talk a lot and he just… wasn’t overwhelmed. He didn’t know exactly but he wasn’t sure if he wanted to find out. Because for once in his life - Idia was around a new person, and he wasn’t freaking out.

The kindness you expressed to him was abnormal; it was weird, unsettling and downright frightening. Why were you so kind? Why weren’t you abrasive, or getting upset the same way other people did when he would talk about the games he played or the music he listened to? Why were you listening and letting him go off on side topics?

There were times that Idia would catch himself staring at you - silently begging you to just be rude, just so he would have a reason to say that he finally had a reason to not talk to you, to not feel comfortable around you anymore - but he couldn’t.

Because it was like you never had a mean bone in your body - and Idia could feel himself falling. It made him nervous, and he didn’t like it.
