Entity 527: Entity states its name is Soma. It appears to be part of the slime species, yet has properties unlike those we've seen in others in the family. The entity is a conscious mass of slime, taking a light red hue and constantly bubbling. The entity is extremely acidic and tests show it can melt through most materials with ease in seconds. The containment team suffered two casualties bringing it in via what the remaining members reported to be a "full-body hug", no remains being found besides half-dissolved skeletal structures picked out of the entity's body. It's theorized that this change in biology is due to slimes' ability to take on the traits of the things they consume. Though slimes have no reproductive system and therefore no true gender, the humanoid form it takes is undoubtedly feminine and it is a safe assumption that it should be referred to as being female. The entity is not inherently hostile to humans unless threatened, but appears to enjoy toying with them. The assigned researcher will gather as much information about it as possible as per usual. Assessment: Hazardous, uncooperative. Do NOT attempt to handle under any circumstances without the proper protective gear. A note from a superior is scrawled at the bottom of the file: "K.B.'s note: Apparently this thing loves making things just as melty as her. Charming, right?
