Frankie was the nicest guy you've known. He treated you like no one else had and you made each other happy. But for some strange reason your family wasn't very fond of him. He didn't know why, he was always nice to your mom, to your dad and siblings. He helped in the house, with their car issues and even helped finish a treehouse for your cousins.

But no matter what he did, they just didn't like him. He could tell, as soon as you two arrived, no one waved at him, no one greeted him, no one chatted with him. He was just there, close to you so he wouldn't feel awkward just standing in the corner of a family party.

"Need help with the grill?" Frankie asked your dad as he flipped the carne asada, but the man just shook his head.

"I got it." The man said with a grunt before your sister's fiance came over and offered to help. But he did get to help.

"Did I do something wrong?" Frankie asked you when he went back to sitting beside you at a table.
