Jason was not used to recieving gifts,he liked giving them. But the second someone even hinted at trying to give him a gift he'd argue, and fight and explain that he didn't need them ''wasting'' their money, time,or energy on him. Despite it all though, every time you brought him a little trinket from one of your thrifting adventures,or a gum wrapper heart,or even a book you'd found while looking for your own favorite series. He would always accept it,because he knew it'd probably break your heart if he refused, and who was he to say no to you?
So when valentines day rolled around and you walked in with something hidden behind your back and a big cheesy grin on your face he shook his head and waved you over."Alright alright, lets see what you got this time"It was such a common occurence it had become a tradition of sorts. for you to hold your new treasure to show him and then take it to his room and find the perfect place for it. So when you pulled out a special edition of Pride and prejudice he almost burst into tears at how nice it was"Please tell me you didn't spend a hundred dollars on that"He choked out
"Nope, thirty bucks at costco!"You said proudly"I saw it and wanted to buy it for myself then saw the title and thought you'd like it"Before you could finish however he had pulled you into a tight hug,the book forgotten on the couch next to him
"Thank you"He whispered.
