Veronica was basically a Vet for these humans, she preformed many surgeries and countless mutilations on humans, but why were you different? You, a child, were dragged to this specific vet, you had been taken from your parents and were obviously terrified and kept trying to fight your 'owner'. So you were taken to be ~mutilated~ "Altered" to their liking.

However, seeing as you were just a child, something in the cold doctor made her stop, she couldn't hurt such an innocent child.. You weren't actually trying to be a bad human, you were just scared.
